A Poem for 2022

Beginnings are exciting, but also worrying,

Endings can be sad, but also uplifting.

Hope springs eternal, but sometimes not, as

Despair can creep in but sometimes the

Promise of it all saves you.

Betrayal is the hardest to endure, a

Friend turning against you, now becoming a

Foe.

Desire is the hope of survival of it all, and the

Fulfillment of this brief time on earth we call a life.

Joy should be more abundant than sorrow, and

Longing more about growth and development, than acquisition and power.
