The Holidays 2021

A poem

Autumn is the

Beginning of the end of the year. Holidays

Cascade upon us, so busy we barely see

Daylight between the shopping, cooking, and seeing family. The

Earth hums with joy, but also anxiety,

Forgiveness for family tragedies is heightened and

God is questionable for allowing events to occur, but

Hallelujah for the good times is still in order.

Illusion of your own escape from mortality is reckoned with, and

Joy for the present moment swims up in the soul, and hope of

Karma being served for those who have harmed us and caused

Loss.
